Hiatus bonus #1 is here! I’m plugging away at hiatus extras, ITS chapter 2, and ITS: The Clybourn House. Time is going by too fast; someone send help!
Into the Smoke is drawn in a simpler style, and these days I rarely have time to do art that’s more painted and shaded. But I wanted to do some more detailed portraits for the ITS gang, since I only ever get to draw them cartoony. It was fun!
Big thanks to everyone who’s supported the comic or my other projects during hiatus so far! Here’s a little rundown of what’s going on right now:
Into the Smoke: The Clybourn House launches as early access to Secret Gallery patrons next week!
When the inhabitants of a notorious haunted house threaten vulnerable people in Chicago, Father Judd Abraham has no choice but to team up with spirit medium Evelyn Hong and her impulsive student Blaze Laurent to clear out the site’s dark entities. But after a tragic event jeopardizes their scheduled exorcism, Blaze turns to controversial methods to negotiate a truce with the Clybourn House’s eighteen angry ghosts.
ITS: The Clybourn House is a serialized Patreon short story for adults. Additional tiers will get access to the story next year, after Judd makes his appearance in the comic. (Secret Gallery patrons get spoiler previews.) Pledge here and join the Secret Gallery to get the story early, or pledge to any tier to support the comic and get other hiatus updates!
Our next hiatus update 2 weeks from now will be an ITS minicomic, and if possible, we’ll also have a character chat in the comments section with Blaze! (pending his availability, lol). Think of some questions you’d like to ask him in the meantime!
