Transcript: Chapter 2, Episode 20
A puddle of black ink is shown on the weathered wood floor.
A person wearing black vestments places a cross-adorned gold cap on a holy water bottle, then slides the bottle into a pouch belted at their waist.
In the cathedral nave, Judd stares down at the black puddle on the floor. Behind him, the three figures stand in shadow. The one wearing a black shirt and pants says, “Our work is done here.”
Judd closes his eyes as he blots his forehead with a white cloth.
He glances up as one of the figures steps out from behind him and says, “I didn’t know you could bait lust demons.”
Judd purses his lips, gripping the white cloth. The robed man steps out of the shadows as he passes behind Judd, revealing tanned skin, scruffy stubble, and slightly spiky hair. With a smile, he glances at Judd out of the corner of his eye and says, “That’s a first. Usually it’s envy or pride from you.”
Judd’s gaze shifts away, and he says nothing.

Short episode, since it’s the end of the scene. Our next episode is pretty short too, but we’ll have a big long one after that!

We’re still above the halfway point, which means I will still be able to continue making the comic, with some occasional delays or longer gaps between episodes.
This has been such a huge help, especially because I’m now out of finished page buffer. So now it’s a lot easier for me to set aside the extra time between other work to finish up those pages. Thank you all!!
Episode 21 is short, and I plan to post it on the typical biweekly 12/10. So I’ll see you in two weeks as usual!
After that, there will be a longer gap for episode 22. It’s a big episode, I have some graphic novel deadlines and outstanding freelance work I need to get to, it’s a Sketch month on Patreon, and Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve aren’t the best days to post webcomic updates anyway. So, episode 22 will probably come on 1/7 or 1/14.
