Transcript: Chapter 2, Episode 6
Blaze’s narration appears before a dark blue background. It reads, “Ugh… I was such an asshole to him…”
A view shows Blaze’s nightstand in a dark room, the only light coming from three pillar candles on a round stand. Beside the candles is a vase of flower buds. A rectangular tray holds his gloves and necklace. Also on the table are a journal, a table lamp, and a box. Blaze’s narration continues, “Why do I always show him my worst side?”
Blaze stands with his head bowed, holding his tattooed hands in front of him and touching one thumb to the center of the opposite palm. He wears only a pair of pale blue trunks. His narration reads, “He’s done so much for me. And I returned the favor by ghosting him and yelling at him.”
Blaze sits on the edge of his bed, his hands braced on his thighs. His narration reads, “I hope I can keep my promise to meet on Friday. I miss him.”
His narration continues, “But he’s a priest. And with everything between us…”
Blaze blows out the pillar candles.
His narration continues, “He has no idea how hard it is for me to be near him.”
Blaze lies under the covers in bed, moonlight spilling across him from windows to the left.

March was a Quarterly Sketch Month on Patreon, which means I did a batch of 15 new sketches that all patrons get to see and patrons in Sketch tiers get to request by mail! Since most of my Sketch Tier patrons are older DOTU readers, there’s lots of ITS sketches available. I’d love to see more ITS fans among the Sketch tiers, since I’ll be doing more ITS sketches in the future!

Some Blaze/Alastor, some Blaze/Judd, some Blaze/Haunted Statue (go read the most talked-about 18+ scene in The Clybourn House, lol), and some sketches from a new prose back story I’ve been casually working on. New Demon of the Underground pages have been Patreon exclusive for several years. But last update, I mentioned that Into the Smoke was invited into the Creator Bonus Program on Tapas. Since I get paid for views there, it’s made it possible for me to bring back Demon of the Underground chapter 4. The entire chapter will be free for the first time!

We’ll have fast updates for a while, until the Tapas mirror catches up to public pages on the main site. Then pages on the main site will unlock at a Teen rating as well. If Patreon support and Tapas readership is very strong by the end of chapter 4, I’ll continue with public updates for chapter 5!
Patreon will continue to be the place to read very far ahead, and the only place to read the original R-rated version. Censoring this series is hard and it affects the storytelling, so I hope as many people will read the original as possible! But being able to bring in new readers via Tapas is also a huge help.
And while you’re there, be sure to read Into the Smoke on Tapas as well! (PG-13 version) More views = better ranking, more visibility, more money = I can keep making comics! It’s a great option if a Patreon pledge is truly out of your reach but you still want to help!
