Another Sketch Round, and More!
In this newsletter, you’ll find out about everything I released over the past 30-31 days.
Anything not labeled “Patreon” or “paid” is free and publicly available.
March 6 to April 5, 2026
March was another routine month, work-wise. Outside of work, things were pretty crazy! (Did you know a car can be totaled by hail? That was a “fun” lesson I learned this month.) But I’m still plugging along, making comics and stuff. 🙂

Into the Smoke
Into the Smoke is my new free vertical-scroll webcomic. It updates every other Wednesday. “When gay medium Blaze binds himself to an evil spirit, he hopes solving the ghost’s murder will help bring him peace. But Alastor the Angel Killer has other plans…”
New Episodes This Month:
While I’m working on my graphic novel, I’m trying to maintain the equivalent of 1 ITS page per week. Most episodes are an average of 4-ish pages, so that means there might be a longer wait between some episodes, instead of our previous consistent “every other week” schedule.
If you got this Monthly Roundup by email, either through the ITS Newsletter or via Patreon, you’re already set to get ITS episode alerts by email too! If not, you can sign up for ITS email updates or follow my Patreon for free, and then you’ll always know when the next episode posts.
Extras:
1. It was a quarterly sketch round on Patreon! That means I did 18 original sketches to send out to patrons in the Sketch tiers, but all patrons get to see the sketches! You can see them here:
- Sketches 1-6 (Patreon)
- Sketches 7-12 (Patreon)
- Sketches 13-18 (Patreon)
2. For March’s Secret Gallery post, I released the next first-draft installment of the “Blaze cult story” prose prequel I’ve been working on. There’s only one more scene I plan to share of this story in the near future! (Patreon)
3. This is a little more tangentially ITS-related, but for March’s Bonus Tier post, I did some Chicago environment art. (Patreon)
4. Not new art, but here’s a little tumblr post with a tiny rundown of Into the Smoke’s main characters!
5. It’s a new month on Top Webcomics, and we’re doing really well this month. Since we had a post on the first day of the month, it gave us a good start and we’ve been in the top 100. So let’s keep the momentum up if we can! Big thanks to everyone for voting!

Demon of the Underground
Demon of the Underground is my longest-running webcomic. It’s about Pogo, a half-demon with telekinetic powers who falls into a treacherous underground world beneath Chicago. The first 300+ pages can be read for free at demonoftheunderground.com. Current pages are being released on Patreon, with plans for new free pages in the future.
FREE PUBLIC DEMON OF THE UNDERGROUND PAGES ARE BACK! They will continue at least to the end of chapter 4, minus the most nsfw pages. You can find them in their original single-page format at demonoftheunderground.com, or converted to vertical scroll format on Tapas. They will release at roughly the same rate, though the releases at the main site may come in batches.
Newly Released Free Pages This Month:
Demon of the Underground is also updating on Tapas! We’re up to chapter 4, page 98!
Extras:
The quarterly sketches I posted in the ITS section also include DOTU art!
- Sketches 1-6 (Patreon)
- Sketches 7-12 (Patreon)
- Sketches 13-18 (Patreon)
Odds and Ends
My fancy top tier Chicago photography (Tumblr)
I participated in an ask game on Tumblr for the first time in, I wanna say, more than a decade? (And I still have more asks to get to…) If, for whatever reason, you want to read an ungodly amount of my rambling, you finally have the chance. (Where else do you ever get to hear me rambling?)
Fan Stuff
Incorrect Into the Smoke quotes by Delphina (Tumblr)
This post completely killed me. I love it so much. Also, if you haven’t read Delphina’s webcomic Sombulus, check it out!! It’s exactly as fun and funny as you’d expect from someone who’s able to put together that good a collection of incorrect quotes!
And that’s everything from this past month! See ya next time!
