December 5 to January 5, 2026
I spent most of December crunching on my graphic novel thumbnails. Not only did I manage to finish the 264 pages by the deadline, a majority are clean enough that I’ll probably be able to ink them without pencils. I also had some artistic breakthroughs in the process that I can’t wait to use for ITS and DOTU! I’ll share more about the graphic novel as soon as I’m allowed to, but for now, you can catch a glimpse of the main characters in December’s quarterly sketches on Patreon! (linked below)
Due to the crunch, I didn’t have much time for unplanned bonus art, but I do have my usual collection of ITS episodes, adapted DOTU pages, and Patreon extras!
Into the Smoke
Into the Smoke is my new free vertical-scroll webcomic. It updates every other Wednesday. “When gay medium Blaze binds himself to an evil spirit, he hopes solving the ghost’s murder will help bring him peace. But Alastor the Angel Killer has other plans…”
New Episodes This Month:
Into the Smoke took a brief break for Christmas and New Year’s (and because of the aforementioned GN deadlines). Our next episode will come on January 14!

1. It was a Sketch month on Patreon! Every quarter, I do 15-18 original sketches that all patrons get to see and that patrons in Sketch tiers can request by mail. This time, I did a wide variety: ITS, DOTU, my graphic novel characters, and some geese! Here are links to the ITS sketches:

2. For January’s Bonus Tier post, I finally finished an angsty Blaze/Judd illustration I’ve been wanting to do for a long time! Incidentally, it’s also my first new art of 2026! (Patreon)

Demon of the Underground
Demon of the Underground is my longest-running webcomic. It’s about Pogo, a half-demon with telekinetic powers who falls into a treacherous underground world beneath Chicago. The first 300+ pages can be read for free at demonoftheunderground.com. Current pages are being released on Patreon, with plans for new free pages in the future.
New Pages This Month:
Demon of the Underground is updating with free public pages on Tapas! We’re up to chapter 4, page 88!
Public pages will start posting toward the end of the month! They will continue at least to the end of chapter 4.
They will post in original page format at demonoftheunderground.com and in vertical scroll format on Tapas.

2. From 2014 to 2021, I sent monthly letters to my $5 tier that were “written by” Pogo (Demon of the Underground) and occasionally from other DOTU characters. After they were discontinued, I put the old letters up in my tiny shop. It was recently brought to my attention that the collection was missing one letter, so I released that letter for free on Patreon along with another as a bonus. The shop listing has also been fixed.
