Monthly Roundup – March 5, 2026

Pages and Episodes and Minicomics!

In this newsletter, you’ll find out about everything I released over the past 30-31 days.

Anything not labeled “Patreon” or “paid” is free and publicly available.

February 6 to March 5, 2026

February was a pretty routine month, which I forgot was possible since it’s been so long since a month has been routine! We have a little bit of everything: ITS episode, DOTU pages, minicomics, extras, and a bit of randomness. I also finished a big freelance project that’ll go public in the not-too-distant future, so I’m looking forward to that!

Banner with the text Into the Smoke. The image shows Blaze using a lighter to summon Alastor, a dark, smoky ghost, who holds the medium while inhaling his breath.

Into the Smoke

Into the Smoke is my new free vertical-scroll webcomic. It updates every other Wednesday. “When gay medium Blaze binds himself to an evil spirit, he hopes solving the ghost’s murder will help bring him peace. But Alastor the Angel Killer has other plans…”

New Episodes This Month:

While I’m working on my graphic novel, I’m trying to maintain the equivalent of 1 ITS page per week. Most episodes are an average of 4-ish pages, so that means there might be a longer wait between some episodes, instead of our previous consistent “every other week” schedule.

If you got this Monthly Roundup by email, either through the ITS Newsletter or via Patreon, you’re already set to get ITS episode alerts by email too! If not, you can sign up for ITS email updates or follow my Patreon for free, and then you’ll always know when the next episode posts.

Extras:

1. For February’s Secret Gallery post, I released yet another first-draft installment of the “Blaze cult story” prose prequel I’ve been working on. This closes out the “test” scene, and there’s only one or two more that I plan to share at this time. (Patreon)

2. For March’s Bonus Tier post, I put together a process video of how I color characters from the latest ITS episode. (Patreon)

3. It’s a new month on Top Webcomics, and we have a new voting incentive! Since I didn’t start recording the aforementioned video until after I’d finished almost all the backgrounds, I made an additional process gif of one of the environment-heavy panels. Vote for Into the Smoke to see it!

Vote for Into the Smoke on TopWebcomics!

Banner for Demon of the Underground: Webcomic. The four main characters of the comic are shown in the midst of battle: Jordana, Merritt, Samsid, and Pogo.

Demon of the Underground

Demon of the Underground is my longest-running webcomic. It’s about Pogo, a half-demon with telekinetic powers who falls into a treacherous underground world beneath Chicago. The first 300+ pages can be read for free at demonoftheunderground.com. Current pages are being released on Patreon, with plans for new free pages in the future.

FREE PUBLIC DEMON OF THE UNDERGROUND PAGES ARE BACK! They will continue at least to the end of chapter 4, minus the most nsfw pages. You can find them in their original single-page format at demonoftheunderground.com, or converted to vertical scroll format on Tapas. They will release at roughly the same rate, though the releases at the main site may come in batches.

Newly Released Free Pages This Month:

Demon of the Underground is also updating on Tapas! We’re up to chapter 4, page 94!

Extras:

Throwback! Several years ago, for one of the quarterly sketch rounds on Patreon, I drew DOTU characters as Greek gods. Awhile later, I released them publicly on Tumblr. And this month, I publicly released one more sketch from the batch. You can see it here!

Minicomics

1. Brotherhood of the Orb Extras

Speaking of Greek mythology, I posted another installment of Brotherhood of the Orb! (In case you missed the original minicomic that started it all, check it out here first.)

2. School lunch story

Just a little anecdote from my childhood. 🙂

  • The “art” in my reply is mine; the original post and the linked website are not affiliated. But I love it so much and recommend it with every fiber of my being!

And that’s everything from this past month! See ya next time!
